The Fallowfield Volunteer Fire Company of Charleroi, Pennsylvania was organized and chartered in June of 1964. A group of hard-working and dedicated individuals realized the need and importance of a volunteer fire company to provide for the community. The group was able to secure a loan from a nearby bank to pay for the erection of the fire station. The original station consisted of two truck bays and a small social hall. The first apparatus was a 1953 engine donated by a nearby fire department.
We have grown through the years keeping pace with the growth of the community. Two additional truck bays were added in 1992. The vehicles and equipment have been continuously upgraded through the years, now providing both fire/rescue and Automatic External Defibrillator services.
The company presently serves approximately 4,500 citizens residing within a twenty-two square mile area and uses only one station consisting of ALL volunteer members.
In addition our company is contracted to provide fire and rescue service for a nearby community of approximately 2,700 citizens
